Keynote speakers
Our keynote speakers will present some of their latest research.
Mentors
An important part of this symposium are the mentors that attend. They will be available throughout the symposium for informal discussions with the delegates, and will take part in panel discussions and breakout sessions.
Selected speakers
The local organising committee have selected 26 delegates to give a short talk on their research.
Poster presenters
Explore the range of exciting research presented by our early career delegates. Some may opt to include a PDF of their poster in their profile.
Poster competition
A poster competition will be held, with prizes for winning posters: $150 for first prize and $50 for two runners up.
Posters will be peer-judged by delegates, including mentors and invited speakers, and a voting form will be issued to delegates. When assessing posters, we ask delegates to consider the quality of the information displayed and if the research is novel and significant.
Poster guidelines
All delegates not selected for an oral presentation, will present a poster.
- Delegates should bring their printed poster with them. Posters will be displayed from the first day of the symposium.
- Further poster guidelines will be confirmed to successful delegates in due course.
Good posters should present complex information in a clear and concise way. Posters that present information well will have graphics with large, clear fonts and images, and attractive backgrounds.
The text and figures should be readable from a short distance of at least one metre. The text presented should be precise and structured with a logical flow to the information. Posters that are considered to be strong for novelty and quality of the research should concentrate on focused problems, innovative solutions, rigorous methodologies, and should be significant contributions to the meeting.
